Description

The Estimation Process Document file is a document to describe the process that should be used in generating the estimates. The file is a complete Word^® (Version 9.0) document.

The Process and Template help do estimates in a more proceduralized way. Its goal is to:

Reduce the chances that a group's input will be missed;
Capture hours estimates by task,
Log assumptions and risks by functional area;
Creates a structure where all estimations are two steps:
- Estimate the size of the estimation process at hand.
- The estimation of the size of task the task being requested.

The intent is that this process is used in conjunction with the Change Request Process although it could be used for other estimations, too. It can be used as-is or customized to better meet your specific situation.
