Companies make goals to improve their products, services, and profitability. When they fail to make those goals, customers, executives, and shareholders are unhappy… sometimes very unhappy. The key to achieving your company’s goals is being able to distill them into initiatives and decompose the initiatives into successfully executed projects. eCameron helps you create an organization that is strategically focused by helping you develop a culture and process infrastructure that keeps initiatives and projects aligned with the company’s goals. In other words, we create initiative ready companies—companies that can define and implement their goals. By focusing at the initiative level, you ensure that everyone in your organization is working on achieving your corporate goals.

Dwight Eisenhower said, “plans are useless but planning is indispensable.” The act of planning takes into account the unexpected, the urgent, and the mundane to build resiliency allowing the plan to robustly withstand the jolts, bangs, speed bumps, and chuckholes that are encountered along its execution roadmap. Without clearly defined strategic goals, an action-plan to achieve those goals, and thorough risk assessment and mitigation, adaptation to the ever changing business environment is impossible. Assessing and refining your goals is vital to ensure that your initiatives and projects are aligned with the company goals. Only through rigorous planning will achieve your goals.

Plans are nothing without the ability to implement them. This requires the right people—from the leadership to the individual contributor—the right level of process, and inevitably some degree of technology. Getting the right people is paramount. Nothing happens without the right people. Process is needed but too many organizations rely on process as the Holy Grail. Without the right people process is a waste. Finally, and only after people and process, the focus turns to technology. It is only a tool to make the right people and processes more effective.
We live by the credo people, process, and then technology. You will see it in our staff. You will experience it in how we work. We focus on getting the right people in place and then improving the effectiveness of your operations. Every company can improve their processes—either adding ones that are lacking, tuning ones that are in place, or removing burdensome bureaucracy.

When projects fail the immediate reaction is to look for issues on the project or in the project team. Projects, however, are usually only the catalyst, not source, for failure. Anything under stress breaks at its weakest point. Projects put organizations under stress. Typically, the organization breaks, rather than the project. Even though the project has to be completed, which we will ensure, often it is the organization that needs repair; otherwise, the failures will continue. We have a track record of successfully completing the most complex of projects while making improvements to the organization to prevent failures from reoccurring.

New plans require change. Change is difficult. Employees, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and even customers need to adopt the plans by changing how they work. Attempting to implement new plans without reinforcing the goals, reasons, and benefits to each stakeholder will result in people reverting back to their old ways. To help people assimilate change and truly move forward, we provide a series of seminars and workshops that address improving change adoption. Our unique Visualizing Change workshops not only help people understand the problems at hand, but also help them develop new solutions and understand the importance of the change.
