Vision To Value – Aligning Projects to Corporate Strategy
Webinar Overview
Leaders define vision. A business turns vision into value. Project Managers drive the projects that build the capabilities transforming businesses. Ergo, Project Managers are enablers for turning vision into value.
To achieve this, Project Mangers, like you, must build value-driven organizations that are seasoned yet adaptive, structured yet agile, pragmatic yet innovative. It is not a simple feat. Sticking to four core principles, allow you to build and lead a powerful organization that provides value, accelerates business growth, and is a strategic component of your company.

PMI Oregon Willamette Valley Corvallis Lunch Meeting
December 12th 2014 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
About the Topic
Cover Oregon: What Would You Do?
Nothing makes your day worse than a CNN News crew on your front step when you wake up. That is what happened with Cover Oregon. History shows it was a massive failure, but what would you have done differently? Explore five critical decision points in the project and discuss in a round table format how you would have done it differently.
The key areas will be:
1. At the initiation of the project and the controls and actions needed for success.
2. Initial scoping decisions.
3. Mid-project Change Order costing.
4. Mid-project Change Order deliverables.
5. System Integrator selection.
6. Project Audit reporting.
7. Internal process and procedure conflicts.
In this presentation the project will be replayed and the audience will be given between five and ten minutes to discuss each point and come to a conclusion on what you would have done
differently to change the outcome of the project. By the end you will not only have a good
understanding of the key failure points in the project, but will also be able to use this failure to make you a better leader and project manager.
