Books and Whitepapers

Todd has also written two books and contributed to many others. His latest book is Filling Execution Gaps: How Executives And Project Managers Turn Corporate Strategy Into Successful Projects. It looks at the six gaps present in organizations—missing a common understanding, project misalignment, disengaged sponsors, poor change management, inappropriate governance, and lackluster leadership—that keep projects from running successfully.

His first book is the #1 bestseller in Amazon's project management books, Rescue the Problem Project: A Complete Guide to Identifying, Preventing, and Recovering from Project Failure. As the name implies, this book focuses on rectifying project failure s from the project viewpoint. It shows the effect people have on failure and how to address those issues.

In addition, Todd has contributed to other books. In Gower's Handbook of People in Project Management (2013), he wrote Chapter 2 "Successes and Failures of People in Projects." For Naomi Caieletti's book Transform Your Project Leadership: For Professionals Leading Projects or Company Initiatives (2018), he wrote Chapter 7 "Leaders Listen". And very early in his publishing career, he wrote Chapter 4 "Book Review, The Toyota Way" for the book Toyota, a Saga of Success (2008).

Keynotes and Presentations

We also provide numerous keynote and track sessions for conferences and professional organizations. They offer education through lecture and extreme interaction with the audience. Depending on your needs I am sure we have a presentation to enliven and educate your group. Our keynotes hot people in the gut, carry emotion, and show vulnerability. They make people think and reflect. And in the "What Would You Do?" presentations, the audience debates the given topic as the presenter poses various conditions and dilemmas that face people daily. This creates an educational, interactive, and entertaining presentation that builds cohesiveness in your group and relationships that last long after your event.

Workshops

For in-depth learning, we offer a variety of workshops. At the corporate level, these are heavily customized to address specific issues inside the organization but are often founded on one or more of our standard offerings. For conferences, these are 2-, 4-, or 8-hour workshops.

Our online and blended Executive Project Management classes are six-session courses given over the course of three to five months. They are offered through Successful Projects. These classes include:
